• “Uncle Waffles is using us,” Mzansi slams the DJ for representing Swaziland.

South African DJ, Uncle Waffles was ridiculed after receiving a BET Awards 2023 nomination, Many South Africans were upset when Waffles was nominated for a BET Award in 2023 since she didn’t represent their country, SA, but rather Swaziland.

The DJ, who has received a lot of support from South Africans over the years, was nominated for the Best International Act award with Burna Boy, Ayra Star, Stormzy, K.O, and a few others.

Waffles represented Swaziland, while K.O represented South Africa. When people realised that the DJ wasn’t from SA, they were upset and started chatting.

“This Uncle waffles award story is exactly what it feels like when you’re a stepfather. You raise the little thing along with its mother, and when it’s all grown up and making it big, boom ” I want to be with my real father ” And give him all the credit for your work,” a tweep wrote.

It appears that several South Africans are only now becoming aware of the fact that she has previously been nominated for an award with the word Swaziland alongside her name.
