Reactions As Victony Fires Shots At Wizkid After Being Accused Of Copying Him.
Nigerian singer Victony has addressed claims that he is emulating Afrobeats megastar Wizkid.
It all started when Victony posted a video of himself dancing to his song in the studio via Twitter. He wore a singlet, baggy trousers, and sunglasses in the video.
After a while, a Twitter user uploaded the same video with the description ‘I thought this was Wizkid at first sight’.

Another person then quoted the video and wrote, ‘He’ll come out one day and say “wizkid is not the source of my inspiration”’.

Victony decided to respond after seeing the tweet and questioned how Big Wiz was being copied. The singer of “Soweto” questioned if it was the singlet or the sunglasses.

He added that he appreciates those who came before him but would not lower himself for them, explaining that he works so hard in his career to support his family.
The singer’s response, however, did not please all of Wizkid’s fans. They criticized him in the comments section for shading Wizkid.
