The urban music and fashion boom aims to keep the head above water between diverse local movements by showing the range of styles in many popular music genres. Over 60 of South Africa’s best young performing artists will be performing at the almost-sold-out event, which will celebrate culture through music, fashion, and sport.
Artists from numerous genres will grace the stage with big-name SA rappers such as A-Reece, Blxckie, Big Zulu, Emtee, Okmalumkoolkat, Moozlie, and Sjava amongst others.
Rick’s widow and co-founder, Bianca Naidoo expressed her excitement to finally being able to bring the Cotton Fest to Ethekwin. “Durban has always been a city that openly embraces and supports music and youth culture. And we are thrilled to finally bring Cotton Fest home,” she said as per IOL.
