Coco Jones is having a moment. Her current single, “ICU,” advances to No. 10 on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. It is her first top 10 entry on this chart.
This news follows Jones’ recent win of the Best New Artist award at the 2023 BET Awards, during which she also performed “ICU.”
Before these recent accomplishments, Jones had already spent four weeks at the top of Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart with her hit single produced by Camper.
As mentioned earlier, Camper produced the track and he spoke to Rated R&B about the song’s rise. “I didn’t know how big it was gonna be,” Camper exclusively told Rated R&B.
“It just so happened that it took off the way it did. God has his hands all through it. It’s just saying staying true and making real music. [Coco] was down with that from day one.”
The rollout for Jones’ What I Didn’t Tell You has included the song “Caliber” and the latest focus track “Double Back.” This week, the urban radio has placed the latter track at No. 38 with an audience of 1.5 million.
Discussing What I Didn’t Tell You, Jones shared, “This project will hopefully share my real-life experiences with my fans and show them that I’m just like them. Sometimes people see me as the characters I play, but these stories are my own script.”
Jones just announced dates for her headlining What I Didn’t Tell You Tour. It begins Aug. 5 in Ontario, California, at Toyota Arena, where she will join Jhené Aiko. She’ll stop in other major cities across the nation with her special guest Ebony Riley.
Tickets go on sale for Jones’ upcoming tour Friday, June 30, at 10 a.m. local time. Get more ticket information here.
